This website is owned and operated by Wix. These Terms & Conditions set out the terms under which you may use our website and services. By accessing or using our website and booking services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Eligibility

In order to use this website, you must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your country of residence. Children aged 4+ may participate in lessons and courses but must be registered and represented by a parent, carer or legal guardian.

Services

Lido Summer Swim School offers swimming lessons and structured swimming courses for both adults and children, including outdoor and cold-water swimming sessions.

When purchasing a lesson or course, you agree that:
(i) you are responsible for reading the full course or lesson description before making a booking;
(ii) you enter into a legally binding agreement once payment has been completed through the website checkout process.

Pricing

All prices for lessons and courses are listed on the website. We reserve the right to amend pricing, offers or services at any time without prior notice.

 

Booking Confirmation

Once you have booked a lesson or course, you will receive a confirmation email containing important information regarding your booking and arrival instructions. If you do not receive your confirmation email, please check your junk or spam folder before contacting us.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

 

Client Cancellations

Bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable if cancelled by the client. Lessons or courses may only be rescheduled at the teacher’s discretion and must be requested at least 72 hours before the original course or lesson commencement date.

 

Course Minimum Numbers

Courses require minimum participant numbers in order to run. Adult and children’s courses must either reach full capacity or have no more than one participant space remaining in order for the course to commence.

If minimum enrolment numbers have not been reached 72 hours before the course start date, the course may be cancelled, merged or rescheduled. In this situation, participants will be offered either:

• an alternative course date; or

• a full refund.

 

Teacher Cancellation

If a lesson or course is cancelled by the teacher, we will endeavour to either reschedule the missed lesson(s) or issue a refund for the affected session(s). Participants will be informed as soon as reasonably possible under these circumstances.

Pool Closure & Weather

If the pool is closed due to adverse weather conditions, structural issues or circumstances beyond our control, we will endeavour to reschedule the missed lesson(s) or provide an appropriate refund or account credit where applicable.

 

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control. These include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, acts of terrorism, labour disputes, war, government restrictions, epidemics, pandemics, national emergencies or any other unforeseeable event beyond our control.

Where possible, missed lesson(s) affected by a force majeure event will be rescheduled at the earliest practical opportunity or credited to your swimming account. Refunds may not be issued under these circumstances.

 

Health & Safety

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they, or the child they are booking for, are medically fit and able to participate in swimming lessons and cold-water sessions where applicable.

Any medical conditions, injuries or health concerns which may affect participation must be disclosed to Lido Summer Swim School before the lesson or course begins.

All participants must follow instructor guidance and pool safety rules at all times.

Retention of Right to Change Offering

We reserve the right, without prior notice, to amend, suspend or discontinue any service, lesson, feature or offering where necessary. We may also place reasonable limits on services or access where appropriate.
 

Cold Water Participation

Outdoor swimming temperatures can vary significantly throughout the year. Participants acknowledge that outdoor and cold-water swimming may involve additional physical demands and agree to participate at their own discretion while following all instructor safety guidance.

User Accounts & Passwords

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account details and passwords. You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

 

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lido Summer Swim School and Eleanor Goldstein from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses or expenses arising from your use of the website or participation in our services.

 

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lido Summer Swim School and Eleanor Goldstein shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.

 

Right to Modify Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on the website. Continued use of the website or services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

 

Marketing & Promotional Communication

By providing your contact details, you agree that we may occasionally contact you regarding lessons, courses, updates or promotions. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

 

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
